Vinik is the best owner is sports

My wife and I are former season ticket holders from the 2004 Cup Champion days. We remember days before Mr Vinik took over and the changes are palpable and all for the better. It's not just the product on the ice which of course is the best in the league right now and very entertaining to watch, it's the way Amalie is managed and the friendliness of the staff. In retirement my wife and I have opted to catch a few games with GREAT seats versus the 40 plus at lower value. We're spoiled I guess! lol So we had 3 row seats behind the goal where the Lightning shoot for two periods. Seats were great. The Embassy Suites was just as excellent and a very short walk. No traffic...no mess in the parking lots afterwards...we love seeing the Lightning this way. So I give the experience a 98. Our only two small complaints were the fact that the Lightning allow fans to cram behind the glass at the end of the rink. We went early to eat at the arena and watch warmups. Paid all that money for the 3rd row but couldn't watch the warmups. Next time we'll just eat and go in time for the game. And TICKETMASTER. Last year the tickets were MUCH easier to display. This time I got the email confirming tickets and then copies of tickets with bar codes but told these codes would not get me into the game. This necessitated more clicks to go through the app...GOOGLE PAY came up even though we had paid for our tickets...I ignored it and finally got through to the acceptable bar code. That and the bag line had two portals while the unbagged folks had five...they had ZERO line..those with wives and purses...a large number were forced to wait in line ten minutes to get through screening. So aside from the little nitpicks there at the end it was an awesome experience and again thanks to the Embassy Suites for a great room, great breakfast and short walk to Amalie.

Excellent Experience

I attended the Tampa Bay Lightning vs Anaheim game, on Thursday April 14, 2022. The Lightning defeated Anaheim by a score of 4-3. I parked inside the Tampa Convention Center parking garage. Paid $20.00 for parking. A short walk to Amalie Arena. I use the Accessibility entrance at Amalie Arena. Daniel (Danny), who works at the Accessibility entrance, is always welcoming, friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable on events taking place at Amalie Arena. My seats were on the Terrace (300) Level. Great view of the arena, and action on the ice. However, it is quite cool, and I always wear a sweater. Most other people, also wear sweaters or jackets. If you sit in the first 2-3 rows, it seems to be cooler, as compared to the seats in the upper section. Before, and during the game, announcements, and music is played. Anytime there is a stop in the action, music or announcements take place. Greg Wolf, who works as the MC, does a great job with his announcements! Using the Ticketmaster app is quite easy. Just scan the ticket bar code as you enter into Amalie Arena. Gates open one hour prior to game time. Overall, a great experience! Will be attending more Tampa Bay Lightning games!
